All app data (saved locations, preferences) is stored locally on your device only.

How Location Data Is Used

Your location is used solely to:

Fetch weather and sky condition forecasts for your area
Calculate sunset, twilight, and astronomical times
Provide accurate cloud cover and visibility information

Location requests are made only when necessary to update forecasts. Your location is never stored permanently or shared.

Third-Party Services

Starcast uses weather data APIs to provide forecasts. These services may receive your approximate location coordinates to return relevant weather data, but they do not receive any personally identifiable information from Starcast.

Data Security

Since all app data stays on your device, you control your data security through your device’s security settings. If you delete the app, all locally stored data will be permanently erased from your device.

Starcast is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal data from users of any age, including children under 13.
